"Technology continues to change the way the vacation rental industry behaves. However, at the core, the processes are what really drives the results of the business. Even with the best technologies, flawed or overly complex processes will lead to inconsistencies (Variation is bad!!!).
For many people, when thinking about Lean or Leaning out an organization, the immediate thought is head count reduction. Given the tight labor market, what if we could re-deploy resources to more value added activities (from an owner, guest, or vacation rental company standpoint)?
For over 80 years, companies have been utilizing Lean Methodologies to eliminate non-value added steps, improve consistency and reliability, and drive companywide continuous improvement. Applications of these tools can be utilized in all areas, but especially back of the house operations including housekeeping, maintenance, and laundry."

- Attendees will gain an overview of several Lean Tools with a deeper dive into a simple problem solving method to get to true root causes (5 Why process). They will be able to do the 5-Why process upon their return to the business.
- Attendees will understand what a Kaizen blitz is, when and how to use the methodology, and the key pieces of information to complete an effective blitz.
